About me
My name is Francesca, and since 2024 I’ve been traveling and living across different countries in South America.

How this project began
In 2024, I set off on a long journey through South America, with the idea of exploring the continent as a backpacker, through trekking, nature and local experiences.
After those months of travelling, I decided to return to live in San Pedro de Atacama, a place that has gradually become home. It was here that I first became involved in the world of tourism and local experiences, gaining a deeper understanding of the area, its communities and how the industry works.
This project was born from the combination of firsthand experience, organisation skills and the desire to share a deeper knowledge of the destinations I explore.
My way of travelling
I enjoy travelling slowly and with curiosity, trying to truly understand the places I visit, the people who live there and their connection with the land.
My background in Earth Sciences and my academic path, which led me to a PhD in geochemistry, strongly influence the way I experience travel: landscapes, geology and the natural environment are a fundamental part of the experiences I seek and aim to share through this project.
Over time, I have learned to combine curiosity, organisation and attention to detail, always striving to create meaningful experiences that are as respectful as possible of the places I visit.
Where I am today
Today, I live in San Pedro de Atacama, from where I continue exploring the region and travelling through different areas of South America.
Through the blog, personalised itineraries and the organisation of experiences in Atacama and Uyuni, I want to help others discover South America by sharing the beauty, diversity and reality of a continent that is often underestimated or portrayed through many misconceptions.
My goal is to continue growing this project over time, expanding the experiences and destinations I share.
An important part of what I do today also comes from my collaboration with my partner Felix, a Chilean local guide who has been based in San Pedro de Atacama for several years. His experience in the region and his in-depth knowledge of the desert help create more authentic, safe experiences that are deeply connected to the place.
